Chinese New Year is the first day of the New Year in the Chinese calendar. It is also known as the Spring Festival or the Lunar New Year.  Every Chinese lunar year is represented by a zodiac animal sign and year 2021 will be the year of OX. Chinese New Year is one of the world’s most colourful events with celebrations across the world.

REJOICE MANNINGHAM Lunar New Year Fun Fair Festival will be held on 27 February 2021 from 10am to 4pm in MC Square (687 Doncaster Road, Doncaster).  Everyone are welcome to join and have fun. We have lion dance, fire crackers, and presentation of awards in the opening ceremony at 11am.  You can also enjoy the stalls, games, jumping castle, face painting, red couplets, free gifts and cultural performances.  We had more than 500 participants joining in each of the previous three years that we held since 2018.  The aim is to share Chinese culture among Manningham communities.

This festival is organised by REJOICE COMMUNITY CENTRE, and kindly supported by Manningham Council’s Community Grant Program.

This event has been registered with the Department of Jobs Precincts and Regions (DJPR), and COVIDSafe measures will be undertaken. The COVIDSafe Event Checklist and COVIDSafe Plan can be downloaded on www.rejoiceatsameway.org.au.
